Saudi Arabia is currently witnessing several large construction projects across different sectors. These projects focus on areas such as housing, tourism, infrastructure, and culture. The Line – NEOM
One of the most widely known Saudi Arabia new development projects is The Line, which is part of NEOM in the northwest region. This is a linear city design that extends across a long stretch of desert. It includes residential areas, offices, transport systems, and public spaces in one connected structure. The construction involves multiple phases and includes smart systems for energy and transport.
Jeddah Central Development:
The Jeddah Central Development project focuses on changing the heart of Jeddah city. The plan includes building residential units, business zones, cultural venues, and a sports stadium. There is also a focus on improving access to the waterfront, with walkways, green spaces, and a marina. Construction work is already in progress, with several stages planned over the coming years.
King Salman Park:
King Salman Park is located in Riyadh and is set to become one of the world’s largest urban parks. The project covers a large area and includes green zones, performance venues, a lake, and walking paths. The construction work is moving forward with different zones being developed to support outdoor activities in the capital city.
Red Sea Global Projects:
Along the western coastline, a number of projects are underway under the Red Sea Global company. These include the Red Sea Project and AMAALA, both focused on tourism. The construction involves hotels, villas, transport links, and nature reserves. Some parts are already nearing completion, while others are in earlier construction stages.
Qiddiya City:
Qiddiya is located near Riyadh and is being built as a centre for sports, culture, and entertainment. The development includes theme parks, performance spaces, and training centres for athletes. Residential buildings and commercial zones are also part of the construction plan. Roads and infrastructure works have already begun to support the future city.
ROSHN housing projects:
ROSHN, a national housing company, is developing housing communities across several Saudi cities. These construction projects are focused on building homes, schools, shops, and public spaces. Projects are active in Riyadh, Jeddah, and other regions, with several phases already underway.
